Our Story
A few years ago, Siham Bouguern found herself struggling to find comprehensive Arabic content in the fields of engineering, science, and technology. The content available in Arabic was limited, and most of it was either copied or translated with little editing.
As an engineering student interested in entrepreneurship, she faced many challenges in accessing resources and support tailored to her unique needs as an entrepreneurial engineer.
It was a frustrating experience! Then, Siham realized there had to be a better way to support her fellow entrepreneurial engineers on their journey to success. And access to high-quality resources designed specifically for engineers and Arabic speakers.
That’s why she developed Jawsak, at the beginning it was a comprehensive platform offering Arabic content in engineering, industry, and business.
The group then evolved to provide solutions specifically designed for entrepreneurial engineers (or engineers entrepreneurs) and support the challenges they face when it comes to accessing technical content in the Arabic language.
Today, Siham Bouguern, through Jawsak, is on the mission of empowering entrepreneurial engineers to excel in the professional arena and thrive within the business landscape.
Meaning of Jawsak
Jawsak is an Arabic word (جوسق), which means a small palace, fortress, or shelter, and its plural is Jawasik.
The name Jawsak was chosen because it suits the concept of the project, which is for this company to be a home, a shelter, a fortress, and a palace for everyone wishing to learn and know about everything related to the world of engineering, entrepreneurship, and business. To be a place for them to satisfy their hunger for knowledge and their thirst for gaining theoretical expertise and competencies, a place to inspire the Arab youth to roll up his sleeves and build their nation.
